I don’t recall any new content for Nier on Steam. The only updates are the FAR mod, which works fine. I’m using it at medium settings on a RX 460, achieving over 40 FPS. The main issue is the resolution settings.

Received an email from Bundle Stars offering 30% off Vanquish after purchasing Bayonetta. Noted comparable discounts of around 25% elsewhere. Made the purchase on day one.

Bayonetta runs smoothly as a first-class port. I consistently see over 55 frames per second at 1080p, especially when using high or very high settings on my GTX 850m. It performs significantly better compared to the PS3 version.

Magic is flawless. It runs smoothly at 4K 60 FPS on a 1060, and the only issue was AA not showing up, though the performance is perfect.

I believe Nier offers a slightly improved port compared to its previous versions. It includes all the essential features for a decent PC release—support for various resolutions, no strict 30 FPS limit, and remappable controls. The main challenge I faced during about 80 hours of play was the odd resolution scaling when using full screen, which I resolved with a mod within a day of launch. It generally has fewer issues than other Elder Scrolls or Fallout titles on PC, and most people consider them excellent. There’s also a reported concern about Steamworks potentially affecting frame rates for some users, requiring MSAA at higher settings to be disabled outside the game.

I completely understand, it's frustrating when switching tabs causes me to jump to the windowed mode and then have to revert to full screen.

Absolutely, that's a valid observation. It seems like there might be another similar idea too.
