When I launch CSGO, it often freezes right after the valve splash screen appears. I can hear the main menu music and notice my mouse movements when hovering over the top options, but I can't see anything because I'm stuck on the valve screen. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Things I've tried: uninstalling and reinstalling, checking the game cache, using Novid to skip the intro (which causes freezing at the main menu), restarting the PC, updating graphics drivers, and lowering graphics quality with GeForce Experience.

Use DDU to remove the existing graphics drivers, then update to the newest or even beta versions. I experienced this issue with The Cuilling before it caused freezing problems.

No, I haven't installed anything recently. I don't use programs or perform installations.

I also face this problem. A quick fix is resetting the whole system or creating a fresh Windows account. It works for a few hours then the game crashes again and stays on the splash screen. I’m not sure what’s causing it. Sad((( I’d rather avoid making a new account each time. My PC was fine when I first set it up, maybe a patch or new RAM caused the issue now.)

I own an EVGA 980ti with a 6700k, running Windows 10 Pro N. It seems like support calls are confusing. Steam offers fixes that don't help. Nvidia says the GPU is fine and not at fault, which makes sense since other games and apps function properly. Microsoft scans my PC and confirms everything is stable. The most likely cause appears to be a CSGO patch or something similar, given how recent this issue is.
