That announce trailer reeks of BS to me. I've never seen
any
VR footage that looks remotely close to being that smooth. No jittery head movement, no loss of hand tracking, it looks like pure bullshot and 100% animated.

Marc Lidlaw, creator of Half Life, departed Valve. Together with Chet Faliszek, who wrote HL2 episodes 1 and 2, and Eric Wodlaw, he also left. Hopefully we’ll see a strong story release soon. I don’t really want to start this game again. The wait has been more than ten years, and there are many other games I prefer to play now. Plus, the timing doesn’t align well with other popular titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Cyberpunk 2077, FFVII remake, Doom Eternal, and others.
