I reside in a more remote location and my only practical ISP choice for Ethernet is quite limited. The initial plan I tried from them led to extremely high latency, even though the game claimed I was at 40-50ms. I’m aware of prefire and swing advantages, but imagine dying instantly when someone swings several meters without aiming or spraying a stationary foe from 10m away—nothing would happen. My ping also fluctuates unpredictably, sometimes doubling every few hours and occasionally increasing in strength far beyond my nearest server. The only fix was switching to a higher bandwidth plan, which resolved the problems and improved shot registration. Now servers track my shots more accurately, but client-side paths for shots appear completely erratic even when movement errors are nonexistent. Anyone know what might be causing this with a fully modern system?
