Hello... I'm facing an issue with Vanguard (Anti-Cheat for Valorant). It seems to disrupt all CPU temperature sensor readings on my laptop. Core Temp shows the driver needed for CPU temp info isn't working even when the game isn't running at startup. Additionally, whenever I boot up, it keeps attempting to repair my C system drive. Recently, I installed a new 1TB Samsung 970 Evo NVMe SSD. Anyone with experience has they encountered something similar? Any advice would be appreciated. The workaround I found after Riot support is to uninstall Vanguard completely and reinstall it only when playing the game, then remove it again. It's frustrating but necessary for monitoring temperatures. Also, I wasn't aware it might have affected my XTU undervolt settings.

I've heard nothing but deplorable things about Valorant. Best fix is to delete everything to do with it and not support Riot and their garbage.

I really enjoy playing the game with friends. It's still in closed beta, which means bugs and issues are common. However, adjusting CPU usage and my Windows drive isn't considered typical anti-cheating actions. :p

Valorant can strain your PC and even affect RITO’s own LoL client. I recommend following the same guidance as @Statik. Their beta tests are far more extensive than usual at this stage. Don’t let them use your PC as a trial subject—heed their warnings.

They're clearly trying to push boundaries, but I'm not backing down. If the situation gets this bad, I'll take the risk. Just think about it—if a company is acting like Rocket, they might lose everything, and I won't let that happen to my business.

You would anticipate serious risks and potential system damage. Installing drivers at RING 0 with elevated privileges far beyond an administrator’s scope is highly dangerous and should never be performed by any software. It reflects a lack of understanding, possibly learned from past mistakes like Starforce’s DRM practices.
