To simplify, I'm attempting to run Windows Server and maintain an open media vault in a VM. Space is limited, so I need my drives accessible. Can I use a format Windows doesn't recognize as a live drive in VirtualBox?

So essentially, you're using a virtual machine with multiple virtual hard drives connected to your physical system. Instead of creating a separate virtual hard drive for each physical drive, you're attaching a virtual hard drive to each one. VirtualBox should provide a method to specify which virtual hard drive corresponds to which physical drive.

I'm working on a Windows Server 2012 R2 with OMV-a Debian Network Storage installed. I'm trying to transfer the OS into a VM, and the configuration drive has been moved successfully. However, I'm running out of space to virtualize the other three drives, which are set up for Linux and can't be read by Windows. I'm wondering if it's still possible to use them in VirtualBox as a live drive.
