I understand if the solution seems obvious. You're trying to reinstall Windows 7 after replacing your CPU and motherboard, and you're wondering if you can re-enter the old product key. Just make sure you follow all the necessary steps carefully to avoid any issues. Let me know if you need more guidance!

I kept it simple without changes. The process was straightforward—just swapped parts and restarted. After a few minutes, the system came back online. @ ShaunOfNintendo - stick to your topics

You cannot simply turn off a product key. To deactivate it, contact Microsoft support or use the official deactivation process through their website.

No issues arose between the drivers of the two motherboards. I assumed you'd need to uninstall the previous ones.

Of course, you should take out those items. A new operating system is also beneficial, though you don’t have to reactivate the key.

You're welcome! It sounds like you'd prefer to avoid another full installation. There are tools available that can help identify and manage your SSD drives without re-installing everything. Would you like some recommendations on how to locate those drives?

Update the motherboard and CPU settings, then launch Driver Sweeper to check compatibility.
