Hello, I wonder if combining these specs is possible. You have a HyperX Predator with 8GB DDR4 at 3000Mhz and CL15, and another model with 8GB DDR4 at 3200Mhz and CL16. I already own the 3000Mhz version and am curious about upgrading to the higher frequency one. There seems to be some mixed advice online, but as long as the voltage matches, it should work fine. Thanks in advance!

Ensure consistency in the same RAM unit. It may function properly but with adjusted frequency and timing for the 3000MHz CL15.

Key factors include brand/model, speed, and timing. Aim for as many details as possible. The CL16 performance mainly comes from its 3200MHz frequency. In principle, it should function properly.

its fine but the system will follow the slower ram.

I combined Trident Z 3466 CL16 with 3200 CL16. Using XMP automatically adjusted both to 3200. It functioned smoothly without any issues. Increasing the voltage helped when OCing to 3300MHz, but normally it works fine. Your motherboard should adjust to the slowest stick’s frequency after applying XMP. Regarding the CL problem, a 3200 CL16 setup should handle 3000 CL15 without trouble.
