Switching between a full-screen game and the desktop using Alt+Tab can trigger brief periods of lag lasting several seconds. I’m seeking a method to resolve this problem. Additionally, I'm experiencing a separate issue—the CPU temperature fluctuates erratically, causing the fans to rapidly accelerate and decelerate, generating excessive noise. This appears to be a software-based problem as it doesn’t occur when the system is running in BIOS.
Fluctuating temperature
If your computer’s processor heats are fluctuating wildly and your motherboard is overclocking the CPU, you need to address the speed setting to prevent this issue.
The motherboard’s overclocking your processor, causing fluctuations in CPU temperatures. While I’ve adjusted the speed, the temperature variations persist. My closed-loop liquid cooler is operating at a consistent rate.
I’ve identified that the CPU might not be running at a steady frequency, and I'm conducting tests. Initially, Task Manager showed inconsistent frequencies, but now all monitoring tools—Aida64, AMD Ryzen Master, and Task Manager—indicate stable frequencies. Despite these stable frequencies, the temperatures are still fluctuating.
The gray line represents the CPU diode temperature, and the yellow line indicates the CPU temperature itself. In the initial screenshot, both lines were identical, so I only displayed one; now, only the CPU diode temperature is exhibiting fluctuations.
