Using four sticks each with eight gigabytes of memory—two containing four chips and the other two holding eight chips.
Hi, if you have four sticks of 8GB RAM—two with four chips and two with eight chips—same brand and model, non-gaming RAM—you might place the two sticks with four chips in slots 1 and 3 or slots 2 and 4 for better reliability. Right now you have three sticks total, with one stick having four chips in slot 3 between the other two (which have eight chips).
Keep mismatched RAM in separate channels. Place the 8-chip RAM in the inner channel (1-2) and the 4-chip in the outer channel (3-4). Avoid running mismatched RAM together, as it reduces performance and can lead to poor results. If you need help, share photos of your RAM models and I’ll guide you on what to look for.
