After some time trying fixes, I'm still unclear about what's going on. My main display is connected through a displayport. When I connect my Oculus headset via HDMI, everything works fine. But if I connect my TV using HDMI, Windows behaves strangely. It runs slower and lags. For example, when scrolling the volume wheel, it seems to update in real-time, but after a short delay, it appears to lag by about ten seconds. Pressing the Windows button ten times used to be instant, now it takes roughly ten seconds for all animations to respond. It seems like the TV is the issue, isn't it? Not quite. If I disconnect the cable and log out of Windows, everything works perfectly. Also, relogging everything makes things faster again. When I remove the cable from the TV and switch back to my main monitor, performance drops as well. So it appears to be a Windows-related problem—plugging in an HDMI screen causes significant slowdowns until Windows restarts (relogged). I've tried different HDMI cables and ports on both devices, but nothing changes. This only happens when using the monitor span or the "show only on 2" feature (where 2 refers to the TV). Using the duplicate mode eliminates the lag. The monitors are set to 100Hz, while the TV is at 60Hz—this discrepancy might be contributing. If I use "show only on 2," the cable disconnects the monitor and relies solely on the TV, which shouldn't require synchronization. It shouldn't need any sync at all.

Which GPU are you using? Have you experimented with DDU?

You're wondering if the problem lies with the driver rather than the settings.

Start with the simplest approach. Run DDU in safe mode and download the newest driver from NVIDIA’s site.

It seems you're uncertain about the next step. Let me clarify.
