Wow... that's a 400MHz boost... what's your RAM speed like? Are you using a z97 Mobo?
Honestly, I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but to be clear: 1600mhz with 16GB DDR3 and MSI Z97 Gaming 5.
Sorry, just trying to clarify. I'm not being serious... and I'm doing a nice setup too.
I think the standard RAM speed for the Z97 is 1333MHz. That means using 1600MHz RAM and turning on XMP gives you an extra 267MHz per core... which is incredible.
Now I'm really curious. If you used 2400MHz RAM, that would probably cause a huge jump in CPU clock speed, wouldn't it? Right?
🙁
I'm a bit jealous of your setup, hahahaha.

Also:
1. I don’t have much money.
2. The cost of desktop parts in Indonesia is significantly higher—about 30-40% more than in the US, Canada, or UK. For example, a "console killer" build that usually costs around $500 in the US would be about $600-650 here after currency conversion.
So, if you know anything about XMP, please help me out. Does it only work with unlocked CPUs (K / X-series) and/or Z / X-series Mobo? Have you tried it on locked CPUs or H / B-series Mobo?
