Read a Reddit comment about the risks of constantly booting Windows 11 on an SSD without DRAM, noting the concern about DRAM handling writes. Then found another comment suggesting it's okay since booting mainly involves reads and few writes. I've shared my PC details for reference: i9 13900K/GIGABYTE RTX 4090/32GB RAM/GIGABYTE Z790 UD AX MOTHERBOARD/EVGA 1300 GT 80 GOLD PSU.

If this device only interacts with the operating system, then you're probably not overcomplicating things. By the time the SSD fails, you should have another one with improved construction. What size SSD did you choose?

Are you harming the health of your SSD?....................
The 1 TB version of the SN 570 comes with a warranty for 600 terabytes of writes over its lifetime... that’s unclear, but likely around 3 to 5 years?
I use about 1 TB each month on my dramless WD NVMe storage. It’s simple to monitor your write activity.
The likelihood of exceeding the drive’s TBW rating during the warranty is very small. The device should remain functional well beyond that timeframe.
It’s possible the drive could fail within the next 10 minutes, which is much sooner than its expected lifespan. You’re left to judge whether that counts as damaging it.

Current DRAM-less systems rely on system RAM for routine tasks instead of using flash memory for normal operations.
In most scenarios, unless you're rapidly writing and erasing data, you're not wasting the drive. For example, I maintain 1.5–2 TBW annually on my boot drives. With the SN570's 600 TBW promise, it's unlikely anything else will last half as long based on flash endurance calculations.

He didn't provide any details or examples regarding this scenario.
It is acceptable.
Keep it simple.
