Using a second screen with 4K HDR TV disables dark mode.
Hello, whenever I connect my TV to my pc, windows dark theme breaks down. I have been searching on google, but could not find anything. (maybe I can't search ) How it looks: Anyway, what I have tried so far to fix it: restarting pc with both screens connected switching to light and then back to dark theme applying custom dark windows themes Do you have any tips, what I could try ?
I don’t disagree with that. The new settings menu is really annoying because it’s removing features from control panels. You end up having to switch between settings and controls, which feels confusing. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to adjust something and have to navigate through two different interfaces just for a small change. Microsoft seems slow to respond, and it makes the process much more complicated.
The problem isn't limited to the control panel; it seems like everything is malfunctioning. Most applications relying on the standard Windows UI API are affected. Programs like Explorer, Word, Ambibox, Notepad++, and more are all impacted.
Oh, I see what you did there. For that, just switch the display to dark mode (or off). If you want to run a system check, open Command Prompt and type sfc /scannow. You might also look into the registry path you mentioned—checking HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize and AppsUseLightTheme could help. Dark mode is usually 0, so it should work if it’s enabled.
