I've been using the NZXT microphone for roughly two months now. Recently, it suddenly started picking up very loudly, making it easy to hear myself clearly from across the house. The volume was much higher than before, even more so than Wizard Yensid's old mic. My computer settings and the physical dial don't seem to adjust it properly. I've tried changing the USB port, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, removing other microphone drivers, and even rolling back the software. Nothing helped. I've attached a short audio clip showing what it sounds like. I'm about 15 feet away and speaking at a normal volume, so it can be quite loud. If you need, I can share the recording here—Record (online-voice-recorder.com).mp3

What graphics card are you using? For Nvidia 20, 30, or 40 series, download Nvidia broadcast to improve performance. For a 1000 series, use RXT voice. Unfortunately, AMD options aren't available in this setup.

Typically increased microphone input suggests higher gain or software volume settings. If it appears abruptly with no other issues, it could indicate a faulty component.

I own a 30 series card. I already downloaded Nvidia broadcast before the problem occurred. I removed it and tried again, but it still didn't resolve the issue.

It's quite remarkable. I experimented with it initially and never reached such a level before.
