Using a dual-boot system with Linux to fix Windows 10 issues in corrupted volumes/partitions
I chose to switch from Manjaro to Endurance because Manjaro was too unstable. After installing Endurance, I restarted and saw the Disk Repair loading screen—it didn’t fix my Windows partition. I tried troubleshooting but had no success. All my system backups were missing (I should have created a new one before installing Endurance), and running command prompt commands didn’t work. I also learned about creating a Linux recovery USB, though I’m unsure how to do it without having access to a Windows 10 recovery tool.
You can obtain the Windows 10 ISO and apply tools like Etcher onto a USB drive. The installer should include recovery options. Avoid niche distributions that lack support from companies investing in their software for a reliable OS. Antergos, once a predecessor to EndevourOS, was retired due to its single-person development. Similar fates befell other small projects. Ubuntu and Fedora remain solid choices with regularly updated packages. If you prefer a rolling release, steer clear of raw Arch Linux unless you're comfortable with the effort. Arch is functional but demands significant dedication. OpenSUSE Tumbleweed could offer a smoother alternative compared to less polished versions of Arch.
