So you're looking to combine your three laptops into a single setup where one acts as the main machine and the others provide extra power. That sounds like a cool idea, but let's break it down. Sharing CPU and GPU between devices usually requires some kind of virtualization or emulation, which can be tricky depending on the hardware and software you're using. You might need to set up something like a virtual machine or use a graphics acceleration solution. As for whether it works over Wi-Fi or USB, it depends on the configuration—some setups support wireless sharing, while others require a direct connection. It’s definitely possible but would likely involve some technical setup and testing. Let me know if you want more details!

The main idea seems to be a virtual machine with remote connectivity, though it would be too slow for games requiring quick action like XCOM.

I don't think you can manage that, especially without laptops, at least based on what I understand.

It's feasible to connect machines and let them collaborate on a job, but regular software won't support this. It's comparable to distributed computing, just on a more limited level.

There might be a method available on Linux, however, not otherwise.

If I were playing this, I’d link all my consoles—PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, that bad laptop, and the gaming one—to hit 60 frames per second at medium settings. Not just any gamer, just someone who doesn’t play by the rules.

I believe we should put the games on all machines and then take action. If this works, we could surpass AAA titles even with limited budget PCs or laptops.

I've heard someone offering PS2s for just $3. It's quite the deal!
