The issue involves a 3-pin case fan connected via an adapter to another 4-pin one. My motherboard only supports two fan connectors, so I linked the adapter’s four pins and it functions properly. The fans operate at maximum speed and produce a loud noise. I noticed the BIOS doesn’t offer a setting to switch from PWM to DC, even though videos showed this option. I suspect the motherboard model might differ from what was used, but I’m unsure if this is typical or if there’s a problem with my system. Any guidance would be appreciated. CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: RX 6600 MAINBOARD: MSI B550m-A Pro FAN: 1x Krux case fan / 1x BeQuiet Pure Wings 2 RAM: Acer Predator Talos 16GB BIOS/UEFI updated to latest version Edited September 16, 2022 by SilentCat Not sure about the item prefix.

Activate the advanced BIOS view. On the right, choose the Hardware Monitor option. This method works with my MSI B550m Mortar.

In simple mode, tap the "fan info" option on the left side, then navigate through the gear settings to switch to DC mode.

I understand navigating the settings, but adjusting fan speed only gives you PWM options. There’s no DC or auto mode available in the BIOS for me.
