Uses Asus Prime B350M-A quickly depleting CMOS batteries within a month
He owns this motherboard: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards-Com...E-B350M-A/. He's been running it with an R5 1600, GTX 750Ti and 8GB RAM all in stock. He's been using it for over four years but has faced issues with the CMOS battery lasting no more than three months at most. The first battery he received lasted longer than a year, but subsequent ones didn't hold up beyond three months. Recently, he replaced it to eliminate any chance of a faulty battery and even that ran out after two months. A photo of the battery he used is included below. I'm confident he's using the right type. What might be causing the rapid drain? From my experience, a motherboard shouldn't need a battery change for its entire life, let alone every three months. I reviewed the BIOS and drivers section and didn't find any mention of a fast-exhausting battery or a solution for this problem. Any suggestions?
