I was in Turbo mode, changed to Balanced, played a game, fans stayed off at 0% even as CPU reached 80°C. When it returned to Turbo, fans spun up again. Now fans automatically engage and everything functions properly. As I write this, Balanced mode works, but even with the fan curve, my fans remain at 0% until CPU hits around 70°C. <--- I recorded this just 5 minutes ago, and now fans spin around 60°C. When I noted this, CPU cooled below 60°C, fans stopped, and we’re back to 60+ with no fans running. This is completely new compared to my past experiences. Edit: began an AIDA64 stress test in Turbo mode. Fans increased dramatically, halted the test, returned to Balanced, then restarted the test—fans dropped to 0% and didn’t restart despite the test continuing. What’s going on? Edit2: Restarted the PC and Balanced mode is now working as expected during games.

Woke up and turned on the laptop, but the fans didn’t power up. I didn’t adjust any settings, just tried dc and osu! to see if they’d work, but nothing happened. The room temperature rose to about 68°C and stayed that way. After five minutes, the fans started automatically even though I hadn’t done anything, and the temperature didn’t change.

Have you verified if the vents and fans are clogged with dust? Is your battery nearing its end? Could the voltage be too low? Perhaps a recent Windows update caused issues. Best of luck!
