I press the boot button on the front of the case and system lights activate, peripherals lights (like keyboard capslock) illuminate before shutting off. The Asus logo appears and then the device freezes. I power it off by pressing the power button and it restarts. After a couple of restarts, Windows boots in, but it still gets stuck on the Asus logo. I shut it down and turn it back on; it works on Windows after two or three restarts. I've tried several fixes: clean install, reinstalling Windows, updating drivers, toggling CSM, fast boot settings, changing RAM slots, adjusting monitors/LCD, modifying power supply, resetting CMOS, removing GPU, RAM, and CPU (checked for damaged pins). PC specifications: AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Lexar GPU, Corsair CV650 1TB NVMe SSD, Windows 10 64-bit.
It had the Bios version 3802 before, and I encountered the same problem three months ago. After upgrading to version 4002, the issue was resolved for about three months, but it’s now happening again unexpectedly. No newer BIOS versions are currently available.
I located a version 4202 and would recommend sending it to the board. Here’s the link: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-compon...ME-B450M-A
In reality, it was revealed a few days back. It features the enhancement in system stability.
3200Hz – only one 16GB drive manager appears, displaying 2.3GB in use with 13.6GB free space.
Wow thanks! I've been working on this for more than three months without any new BIOS updates, even though they just released one three days ago. I'm going to install it right away. Just a note: their easy update tool didn't show any new updates after checking "Check for updates." Edit: I installed the latest BIOS version 4202 and it fixed the problem. The post was marked as solved. Thanks so much!
I've noticed frequent RAM problems on AMD systems, particularly with AM5.
