Experience with an Asus z790-Plus WiFI D4 involved a BIOS setup failure during overclocking attempts. Throughout the day, adjustments and stress tests were made until a RAM frequency drop was applied to address a Cinebench crash that caused the program to crash to desktop. After rebooting, the system displayed a POST message prompting for BIOS recovery steps. Following instructions, RAID configuration and VMD options were adjusted, and F1 was pressed to proceed with ASUS optimization. Intel guidelines suggested disabling MCE in BIOS for better performance. The UEFI menu was accessed via F1, but no keyboard input was recognized. Attempts to clear CMOS included unplugging the machine, power cycling, and resetting the battery, yet no improvement occurred. A USB drive formatted with FAT32 was used to install a new BIOS, but the drive failed to communicate. The motherboard showed no warning lights and displayed a green status indicator. Seeking advice on resolving the BIOS reset issue.

I wasn't quite sure about the process, but I managed to access the BIOS. After doing several CMOS resets and removing each subcomponent while testing various USB drive sizes and formats, I tried alternative keyboards. Still, the issue persisted. Eventually, I connected two keyboards simultaneously and it functioned correctly! It's unclear why that worked.
