Recently, the icon on my desktop keeps shifting back to that spot even after I move them. Every time I restart my PC, is there a way to fix it so the icon stays in place? Thanks.

Click the desktop right-click, select View menu, remove the option "auto arrange icons"

I performed the action and it continues to adjust the icon location after restarting.

It's unusual, hasn't there been any issues with mine adjusting? I like to decide where to place them myself so I don't waste time searching for them.

I understand you're currently on 1804 and it seems you weren't impacted by the previous issue. I also use a tool named Ultimate Windows Tweaker to streamline tasks and avoid manual registry edits. It could be useful—just remember to back up your system before applying changes. You can find more info here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/ultimate-...windows-10
