My older PC (which I unplugged the power supply and two SSDs to prepare for a new build) isn't turning on anymore. I attempted to use my PSU for the new setup but the Dynamic mini couldn't fit the larger unit. Only SFX supplies worked. So I reinstalled it in the older machine. I reconnected everything to the PSU—still had two SSDs and the OS SSD connected. When I tried to power it up, it just clicked and the CPU light flashed very quickly. Nothing appeared on screen, and I couldn't access the BIOS. I followed these troubleshooting steps: removed the battery from the BIOS for 30 seconds, reset everything, took out the fan hub and fans, disconnected the SSDs, and even tried a 500W PSU from an older HP PC. The click didn’t happen with this one. I also unplugged the GPU, removed the RAM, and tested each component individually without success. Could this be related to the CPU? I haven't booted it since using DDU to run an AMD card four months ago (which had NVIDIA). Now I'm back to using an NVIDIA. The components listed are: Corsair 750W RM PSU, Ryzen 9 3900X, Nvidia 2060 GPU, Corsair vengeance 3200Mhz RAM, 4 x 16GB (64GB), MSI Carbon Wifi X570 MOBO, Deepcool Castle 360EX AIO.

The cables you used were the same for switching between all three power supplies on both PCs.

I applied the extensions earlier; they performed well then. I skipped them again, assuming a problem, but didn’t succeed.

Confirming the requirement to use only the original units. Changing supplies might damage components. Some adapters are one-way and may not fit every device. Use the cables provided with the initial supply. If issues persist, check for damage or alternative causes.

Some cables might have been lost during the installation. I assumed it wouldn’t affect me because both units are Corsair 750W fully modular power supplies. I’m considering purchasing a different PSU from Amazon and testing it. If it fails, I can return it.
