I have several issues with Asus, especially their customer service. When searching for a gaming laptop, I often find better options with similar features at lower prices. That's why I'm using a Lenovo Legion Y540 now.

Agreed. That's why my current laptop (and the previous two) are Lenovo Thinkpads.

In reality, I wouldn't even consider using a laptop for gaming unless it was extremely lightweight. Even the top gaming laptops don't seem able to withstand the thermal stress they endure, and I don't mind the specifications. If it's needed for anything demanding, they just overheat. That's just my view.

I understand your point, many laptops do operate at very high performance levels. However, not all are that intense; some maintain lower clock speeds during long tasks, which keeps them running in the 60s and 70s instead of the 90s. With Asus, you have the ability to adjust power limits for the CPU and GPU, allowing you to choose a cooler and quieter setup if desired. I don't like pushing the CPU and GPU beyond 90°C, as it might affect their lifespan. A solid pick for the Thinkpad.
