You can create a Windows 8.1 ISO and burn it to a USB drive using free tools like Rufus or Windows Installer. You don’t need to purchase it from Microsoft directly unless you want the official version.

You can purchase it from MS or retailers like Newegg and Amazon. Just use a Windows key to burn a win8 CD or USB drive as needed. Microsoft offers a tool to make a Windows 8.1 USB drive by matching the language and edition to your purchased key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...resh-media

Download the ISO from the internet, create a bootable USB drive, and you’ll need a key. Use the official Microsoft utility or tools such as isotousb or Rufus.

You can locate the ISO and key on the Microsoft website. The download page provides both files for installation. Choosing English (Download) will give you the software along with a Windows installation key.

You need to purchase the license, which is available at physical shops, online stores, or sometimes for free on platforms like Reddit/G2A.

She purchased Windows 8.1 on CD about a year ago and used the key just once. It’s possible the key is still valid, but it’s best to confirm with the original source or check if it’s still active.

The main key is just one PC, but you're free to use the CD as long as you possess a key or take the less acceptable route. We won't discuss that here. Feel free to message me anytime.
