Hello, you're looking to connect your Xbox One controller to a PC using a wired setup. After trying a port conversion, it seems the issue might be with the port itself or compatibility. You may need a USB-C to USB-C or USB-A to USB-A cable depending on your controller's ports. Make sure the cable matches the controller's specifications and that you're using a reliable connection. If problems persist, consider checking the Xbox support documentation for further guidance.

Xbox controllers function seamlessly on Windows using any USB connection. A standard USB cable should suffice; your specific cable might be a power adapter or damaged.

You can buy an unbranded cable... I don’t really prefer them, though they should function. It’s hard to confirm if your device has a USB C or micro USB connection.

If you prefer not to purchase a wire, you might attempt connecting it to various ports. Occasionally it functions in the rear ports while failing in the front ones. These problems have mostly disappeared with newer hardware, though they might still exist on Windows 10 systems.

I regularly use an Xbox controller via a standard USB 2.0 cable; a good MicroUSB to Type A works fine. For controllers like the Series X/S or Elite Series 2, opt for a USB C connection.

The device connected via the Amazon link uses a micro USB port. USB C became available after Xbox integrated the share feature during the launch of their Series S and X models.
