It depends on what you prefer. Try Firefox, Chrome, and Opera each for a day, then switch them around and see which feels best after three days. Personally, I chose Opera because it had fewer bugs and crashes compared to Chrome. Everyone’s experience can vary.

Chrome consumes a significant portion of system memory through extensions, a fact many overlook. I use only a few extensions (14 total) and they’re currently occupying 364mb of RAM—about as much as the entire FF game. This becomes noticeable when multitasking, like playing games, streaming, and browsing simultaneously. Running out of RAM on my 6gb PC happens frequently under light usage. The internet also drains resources because it runs open while gaming, meaning you’re usually handling just two activities at once. Using Chrome on a laptop or tablet, which often have 1-4gb of RAM, is another point—people don’t expect heavy gaming hardware to power browsing alone.

Browsers generally consume minimal resources, but their performance often drops when adblock is enabled, as it takes up about 90% of memory usage.

If you like Waterfox, go ahead and use it. I’m also using it. After the latest update, it consumes less RAM, which is helpful for someone with only 3.6GB available.
