I have persistent storage on a USB drive. The Ubuntu Software Center wasn't running. I looked up solutions online and found these resources: (If you prefer not to rely on persistent storage, let me know where to post your question.) After running them, the Software Center started working eventually, but it took a long time and required a reboot. The disk space dropped from 3.5GB to 870MB. Now I'm considering a clean installation of Pop OS, as many recommend. Please share any clarifying questions in this thread.
