Use the BIOS/UEFI settings to enter safe mode without a screen.
Show bios functions in BIOS without using Windows. This issue arose after reinstalling the graphics driver. The screen went blank and stayed off after reboot. Once I exited BIOS, a black screen appeared. It seems the driver problem is likely involved. How can I enter safe mode when the Windows startup isn’t visible? I’ve tried hard restarts like the 10 command but they didn’t help. There might be another method—perhaps a keyboard shortcut or something else—to boot into safe mode. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, it looks like the CPU has integrated graphics, but I don’t see any output on the display port on the motherboard and no compatible VGA adapter is available.
When you try to open Windows, nothing appears—this might mean another problem exists. A completely black screen could indicate a hard lock or driver-related issue, though these are typically resolved later during startup. You may want to test on another machine. Consider creating a Windows installer and attempting a boot from it. If the black screen persists, there could be a hardware concern such as a CPU or board fault.
I simply reinstalled Windows and cleared everything, which worked. Now I’m getting my full 1080p on this older graphics card. Thanks for the feedback!
Hello, nice to see you're using Windows. I wasn't too sure it was anything critical at first. My system has been acting up—black screen, no response, no recovery options. But once I did a clean install, everything worked properly.
It's unusual I've never used windows directly before. However, since I purchased the prebuilt version, it might have been a damaged copy, but the one I rely on for all my projects is functioning perfectly now.
