Use Overclock FX-6300 alongside Gigabyte GA-970a-DP3
Just wanted to check if anyone could help me with overclocking my old AMD FX-6300 6 core on a Gigabyte GA-970a-DP3 card. I have 8GB RAM, a Samsung 850evo 240GB SSD with Ark: SE and Battlefield 1 installed, using all available space, and Windows 10 running alongside other games and tasks on my older 2TB HDD. Battlefield 1 tends to lag, and Ark is often unresponsive, sometimes making it unplayable. I followed this previous guide:

But after a few weeks, I started experiencing BSOD during boot attempts, so I reset the UEFI to default. I’m hoping to restore a stable setup where games run smoothly, at least until I can afford an upgrade. Also, I own a better CPU cooler than what came with my processor—I use an Arctic Cooling Alpine 64+.
The motherboard isn't ideal for overclocking, and the cooler is completely unsuitable for this purpose. In fact, it performs worse than the standard one since it only handles 90 watts of heat, while the stock cooler at stock levels generates 95 watts. My suggestion is to skip these poor thermal solutions and move quickly with your upgrade.
