as discussed earlier, the main router is shared by your sister and mother, but there’s no separate router behind it. You only use the second one because you spend most of your time upstairs. Would it make sense to move your router back into the cupboard and connect directly via Cat6 cable to your PC, using Wi-Fi from downstairs?

Connect your PC straight to the Ethernet cable. Avoid using the second router unless there are significant Wi-Fi gaps. If the downstairs router already offers good coverage, skip adding another unless necessary.
