I've been exploring ways to run Windows, macOS, and Linux together on the same system using different drives. I need all GPT disks set up. My Windows installation uses an MBR, but converting it would require a full clean install and transferring my license—something I'd rather avoid. I found that you can change MBR disks to GPT using DiskPart without erasing the disk entirely. Since Windows is involved, should I proceed with this method? Is it a good idea? I'm trying to navigate through driver issues and license transfers without getting stuck.

Let me check which Windows-related tools might be impacted. I'll review any updates, restore options, or backup features you're using. It's good to know what could go wrong before proceeding. What would you like to try first?

I spend a lot of time and possibly doing homework using this computer for school. I’ll likely try it once I get an SSD for Big Sur, which gives me a reason to do it. I’ll keep updating on how it goes. EDIT: I’m backing up the whole drive, including its partitions, and also copying the Users folder.

Wait until the holidays pass. I usually do a fresh setup after each semester because my university installed unnecessary programs at the end of courses.

I can confirm it was successful—it functioned correctly and efficiently. I recognize the importance of your concerns regarding the data involved.

You own the complete set of your information. Despite having many applications, the process only takes roughly half an hour—just install a few, restart if needed, and repeat. Appreciate the support!

I faced problems with it... After executing that command and restarting the PC, it wouldn't boot properly, showing corrupted files and forcing a full Windows reinstall. Surprising but not the most logical approach—just back up the data, try using tools like Ninite for quicker installations, and stick to traditional methods.
