I explored the video about AppLocker and became interested in trying it at home. However, I'm unsure how to begin. The tutorial demonstrated how to restrict .com executables and .scr files, but I don't understand the setup process (I attempted to add rules via executable rules). Enabling all rules manually seems necessary, and I’m not sure if my wife’s account needs special handling—she should be allowed too without causing frustration. At work we have strict AppLocker policies requiring approvals for software installation, which makes me think this could be quite restrictive. My main security relies on the built-in W11 virus scanner. I noticed it appears only in the enterprise edition, but both home and pro versions might support it. Do I need additional steps to activate it on my professional license?
