When I connect my El Gato, it limits the speed to 60 Hz. I’ve found a solution for the Nvidia GPU, but I have an AMD GPU instead. Appreciate the help!

The Elgato supports only 1080p at 60Hz. The higher settings aren't available. You'd need the 4K option, though.

you can also use a monitor set to 144hz while keeping 60fps during streaming on an NVIDIA GPU, there should be options available for AMD too

I didn't make any changes on the NVIDIA side. Just kept things simple for you.

Execute from a different output port while showing on another. Then copy the main setup to Elgato. Make sure it functions as expected.

There aren't any, but you can find guides on YouTube about doing it with NVIDIA.

Sure, I can clarify. Could you explain what you found confusing so I can address it better?

GPU supports several ports. It's common for Elgato and other capture devices to include a monitor pass-through. If your gaming device has multiple ports, you don't necessarily need the monitor connection—your capture card will prioritize it as the primary display, adjusting resolution and refresh rate accordingly. You can also connect it to another port to mirror the main screen. This setup resembles using capture cards with laptops, though I'm not certain it affects the main display's refresh rate.

You're asking if connecting through another port means switching the GPU port, and whether you need a HDMI to DP cable.

You mentioned having a USB card, possibly a PCIe device. It might appear as a second screen or similar functionality. I’m assuming you’re open to suggestions, but feel free to ignore my ideas if needed.
