Checking the AMD site shows USB 4 at 40Gbps for the Ryzen 5 8600G, but not for the 7600X or 9600X. The listings differ across models.

The Ryzen 7000/9000 chips on X870/X870E use a third-party component that typically consumes four PCI-E lanes. It seems the Ryzen 8000 line doesn’t require this extra part, as seen in boards like Gigabyte’s B650E Aorus Elite ICE, which supports 40 Gbps via USB-C with an 8000 CPU.

APUs are typically designed for laptops. What fits a laptop doesn't always fit a desktop. For instance, USB4 support might not make sense for a PC, but it does for a laptop. Similarly, avoiding PCIE 5.0 could be sensible on a desktop, but not so much on a laptop.
