USB to Gigabit Ethernet device for High Sierra compatibility
USB to Gigabit Ethernet device for High Sierra compatibility
Hello, I purchased a Macbook Air 2012 13" and need a USB to Ethernet adapter. The one I tried didn’t work with the latest OSX version. Have you used that product? It’s priced around 20 dollars and claims to support 10.13. Also, I saw a TP-Link model at about $20 with a driver for OSX High Sierra. Do you know any other reliable USB to Ethernet (gigabit) adapters that come pre-installed or work smoothly on that OS?
I think a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter is the optimal choice. If you require a USB to Ethernet cable, the AmazonBasics model could be suitable. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-1000...B00M77HMU0
I’d probably just buy the TB>GbE adapter from Apple. Saving a few dollars on an adapter isn’t worth compromising on good support.
I need USB for compatibility with Windows devices and because I prefer a single adapter that works across all my machines. It offers more flexibility than adapters limited to one device. Thanks for the Amazon suggestion—I'll look into it further in the comments. Let me know if you tried any other Ethernet-to-USB conversions on 10.13.
