Hello, I have a question about dual booting. Can I use one USB drive as the bootloader and partition, or a smaller USB for the bootloader and the larger one for the partition? Would either option be safer than using an HDD partition, reducing the risk of damaging my Windows files?

You can place the Linux bootloader on a USB driver and set it up on a USB drive, though performance will be reduced. Using a VM is the better option.
