I’ve checked the 9-pin connector for the USB header—it seems it only reaches halfway into the pins. There’s no indication it’s bent, but it doesn’t fit properly. You might need to adjust the connector or consider a different one that fully engages.

Sorry for the poor perspective—it's the only one that gives a clear view. It continues, though I start to sense some pushback around the middle of the pins.

Gently push the connector while moving it side to side; it may have caught something.

Does the USB 2.0 internal connector seem flipped? You might be looking at it upside down.
