When you boot your new desktop from USB, Windows will be set up on your PC. However, activation via a license key is still required afterward.

1) I configured UEFI in Secure Mode
2) This way I avoided purchasing a new license.

The laptop should have Secure Boot activated automatically. You don’t need to purchase a key since Windows 10 supports serial numbers from W7, W8 and W8.1.
