Hello all! I recently built a new PC, and have been having stability issues regarding USBs. I'm nervous it may be a hardware/mobo issue, but wanted to troubleshoot the best I can before taking a stab at an RMA.... Build: MoBo: Asus Z-790-H (current BIOS) CPU: 13900K GPA: Asus Tuf 3090 ti OS: Windows 11 PSU: Asus ROG 1000W Issue: Every few hours, all of my USBs seem to randomly disconnect for a second. It recovers quickly, and all the devices pop back on immediately after. I had thought it was an overloaded USB controller, so bought a PCIe USB hub to spread out some of my 'heavier' devices, but made no impact. I'm not sure if it is a hardware issue or software compatibility issue, and honestly don't have any idea where to start looking to find the root cause. Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Happy to post error logs or whatever, as long as you tell me where to find them Big Grin. Sidenote, I also was having issues with audio, which I tracked down to WaveLink. Doubt it's related, as the restart still happens even if I close out that program - but thought I'd share for added context. Thank you!!!

Launch the event viewer, navigate to Windows Logs → System, and apply the filter for errors. Capture the relevant screenshot that matches your USB reset problem. Please ensure it reflects any logs you see.

Apologies for the delay! I was expecting it to fail before coming to work, but it didn’t give up! Once I got home and tested it, unfortunately there were no errors—just a Kernel-Power info log. It appears to function as expected, sending 'transition' notifications. This should be useful if it helps.

Based on the kernel-level issue, I performed additional diagnostics. I updated ArmoryCrate and confirmed the BIOS wasn't the problem since a newer version was released recently. All drivers and BIOS were refreshed, and Windows remained fully up-to-date. Made some adjustments from online research—like running the power troubleshooter and turning off fast boot—and everything worked fine. Any suggestions welcome!

I'm facing the same problem too, especially with Call of Duty MW2. USB devices keep disconnecting and reconnecting unexpectedly. It only happens when opening that game. I've removed all devices, updated drivers via Device Manager, disabled power management settings for human interface devices in Device Manager, but the issue persists. I've checked every forum and video on YouTube, yet no solution appears. I'm trying MSI B550 Pro, Ryzen 7 5700 G, RTX 3080, Corsair Vengeance RGB, and have upgraded RAM and GPU. My PSU is Windows 11. I've attached the log for reference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.
