USB connectors and rear input ports issue during high-res screen sharing setup
Hi there, I'm just getting started on the forum and was hoping for some guidance. My issue began after upgrading my PC—specifically installing a new motherboard, more RAM, a 3070ti processor, and an iCUE H100i Pro XT. Whenever I tried to start a screen share on Discord that was 1080p or higher at 60 frames per second, I'd hear a disconnect sound from Windows and devices connected to the rear I/O. The pump lights would also freeze or stop working. At first, I thought it was due to power consumption from the 3070ti, so I replaced my PSU, which was a budget model from Amazon. I didn’t upgrade the other components either. That didn’t resolve anything. I suspect the problem might be with the motherboard itself, but I want to consider other possibilities before I have to file a return and lose my computer for a couple of days. My setup includes a Ryzen 7 3700X, ROG 3070Ti, Corsair iCUE H100i Pro XT, and several high-end peripherals.
This smells like a standard software bug no one before has run into yet to me. Decent chance the thing won’t be fixable until the correct people hear about it and an update comes out. Most recent bios is always worth a check with a ryzen system though.
