Hi, I’m not sure if this question is appropriate, but I have an HP 15 series laptop and am having trouble connecting Wi-Fi via a mini PCI Wi-Fi card. I’m curious—can I use an aftermarket USB Wi-Fi adapter with my laptop’s LAN port?

These adapters usually link via USB connections rather than LAN ports.

You may swap the mini PCI Express WiFi card or connect via a USB adapter. A LAN port works with a wireless bridge, though these aren't portable as far as I know—so you'll need wall power.
