The guide covers everything clearly, sorry if this seems a bit simple. I need my laptop to connect to the internet via my PC using only the USB-C port. Both systems run Windows 10 (Home). I’m not very familiar with configuring this setup, but I’m sure it won’t cause any harm—either no power transfer or the laptop charging through the PC. I’m curious about how to make the laptops’ internet connections work together. Assuming the physical link is fine and there’s no special hardware required, I think this should be a standard USB-C feature. This would be a big improvement over sharing my phone’s 4G or Wi-Fi via micro-USB, which I doubt my current device can handle.

Unfortunately I don't have time to wait for a cable to ship, if I am unable to do this with a standard USB-C to USB-C cable, I will simply wait to aquire an internet cable. I also wouldn't want to buy such an expensive cable in the first place. A USB-C to USB-C cable is all I have available at the moment.
