USB 3.0 outperforms flash drives and portable storage devices in speed.
Hey all, I am facing one issue with my transfer speeds when I want to transfer something into the removable media/flash disk/portable drive. Every time it starts with very fast speed like 2GB/s and then it drops to 115MB/s. This is actually good scenario because I copy only one bigger file (7GB) but when I copy multiple files (they dont have to be big) the speeds goes down even to the 0 which is really annoying. I was using a hackintosh before I switched to Windows and never had this issue, I have all the drivers but for some reason this problem persists. I even enabled caching in the disk manager which helped with the speeds in general in my opinion but this issue is still there. Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this? Thanks! Sure, we can avoid the point where speeds drop to zero. It’s not necessary to reach the highest possible speeds; zero is simply undesirable.
Removing some unnecessary data can boost performance, though availability depends on your storage type. The flash drive controller tends to be slower and less responsive overall, so it might offer limited improvement.
Certain file managers or copy utilities offer their own configurations such as disabling the system buffer, ensuring you receive standard transfers for big files. However, tiny files and speed calculations remain challenging.
