Hello, in short the internal USB 3.0 header has broken vbus pins. I’m trying to get those 3.0 ports back to work and think about connecting an external 5V line straight from the power supply, skipping the motherboard. I’ve done some tests and confirmed the pins should also work in standby mode, so that’s fine. My main concern is whether there’s an issue with the USB protocol itself. Based on my measurements, feeding in a steady 5V from the PSU should resolve it. Note: this is the original 3.0 model from 2014, not a later version or a different type. Thanks.
