USB 3.0 adapter cable for SATA connection
USB 3.0 adapter cable for SATA connection
Is it possible to use this adapter cable for installing and running Linux Mint on an SSD?
Yup, should work, though you may have to do some fiddling to get it to install properly. Here's what I suggest if this is your first time installing a Linux distro: 1. go get Rufus 2. Plug in a usb thumb drive 3. using rufus, make the usb thumb drive bootable with the mint .iso you downloaded 4. plug in your new installer usb and your target drive into the computer 5. boot to the usb 6. following the onscreen instructions, target the ssd and install your distro 7. ??? 8. Profit
