Hi. I’m dealing with a strange issue with my Windows 10. Whenever I move the mouse, the program I hover over suddenly uses a lot of CPU and stays high if I keep moving. In Chrome this causes YouTube videos to lag, which is the main problem because I want to do other things while watching them. I’ve looked deeper and found it isn’t tied to any specific app. When I open Steam and move the cursor over the window, Steam tasks spike in CPU in Task Manager. This happens with every program I test: Task Manager, Edge, Steam, Slack, Telegram, Spofity, etc. The CPU usage can jump up to 40% just by moving a mouse over an open window or even the desktop. I’ve checked for viruses and malware, updated everything, but it still persists. What might be causing this? Are there other steps I should try to resolve it? Thank you for your time.
