You just updated Windows 10 with the update assistant, but things are not working well. Your CPU usage is high (25-80%) even when idle, games stutter and YouTube plays with glitches, and running in safe mode brings it down to under 11%. Your hardware specs are standard. Consider checking for malware, updating drivers, or upgrading your RAM if possible.

Hello! You're in the right place for Windows updates. I faced the same issue on my laptop too. Restored the update and everything is fine now—do it yourself!

Determining whether it's a system task or Windows updates/Defender handling it in the background. If you're experiencing odd behavior, the update might not have installed properly or could be corrupted (a typical Windows issue). In such cases, re-installing Windows could be a viable solution.

The update is set up properly, though Windows Defender now appears as Windows Security with many additional settings that are hard to turn off.

You set the preference to disable real-time monitoring, but the system reported an error. It seems the operation failed with code 0x800106ba. You may need to reset or re-enable it after each update. Let me know if you'd like further help.
