You're referring to a CPU from four years ago that was popular back then because it was all you needed for gaming. It's still functional but tends to lag behind today's high-end GPUs. Your i7 is similar to an i5 with hyperthreading, and you can get around 80-90% performance during tough PUBG moments. An i5 would drop significantly in the same situations.

Some real misinformation in this thread. a.) The 4690K is MORE than capable for running CSGO and Spotify, Discord etc, even at stock clocks. It's still fine for gaming in 2018. b.) What do you mean by throttling? If temps are okay, it shouldn't throttle. Do a favor for me, run a Cinebench CPU benchmark and tell me your results: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/6709-cinebench.html
